Job description

Join an exciting sales team focused on growth in a values-driven organization! SIFCO Industries is a premier forged solutions provider to the aerospace, energy and defense markets. Our 1SIFCO strategy allows you to identify prospects and sell a variety of products across all business units while interacting with colleagues in all areas of the business. Reporting to the Vice President of Sales, the Regional Sales Manager is responsible for managing sales activities in an assigned region to maximize sales revenue and generate profitable sales growth.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Sales Management: Maintain a profitable book of business by developing a deep understanding of customers, taking pricing actions as opportunities arise, gathering market intelligence, identifying new business opportunities within existing portfolio and developing sales plans to capitalize on them.
  • Business Development: Prospect new customers by identifying market trends, matching growth areas to SIFCO capabilities and getting the opportunity to present and quote new business. Represent company at trade association meetings to promote SIFCO current and future product and supply chain possibilities.
  • Customer Management: Coordinate with NPI team to ensure on-time new product introduction that meets customer requirements. Coordinate with Account Managers and other SIFCO departments as needed to meet customer expectations. Assist Accounts Receivable and management in addressing delinquencies greater than 60 days. Assist operations in moving unsold inventory.
  • Quote Log Management: Manage territory quote log for new and existing customers. Follow up on quotes, provide competitive/market intelligence and document lessons learned on lost business.
  • Meet territory goals for revenue, customer visits and trip reports, new customers won and new tools won.
  • Travel 25-50%. Work remote when not traveling.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:

  • Bachelors Degree.
  • 5+ years sales experience for manufacturers of highly engineered products for aerospace, defense, or other regulated markets that demand product of the highest quality.
  • Critical thinking skills in translating customer needs into solutions.
  • Technical aptitude; previous forging industry or other metallic products industries is a plus.
  • Professional presence, including excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Team player.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Works autonomously on a day-to-day basis.
