Job description

As a Quote Writer at G&W Equipment based out of our Charlotte, NC branch, you will be responsible for researching and adding parts to service quotes and estimating the labor hours required to perform a job for customer approval. You will be expected to work closely with customers, technicians, and service teams to support day-to-day operations and keep jobs moving forward.
This role is part-time and is expected to work 30 hours per week.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for producing accurate quotes for all service and parts jobs requested by the customer or the assigned branch and sending to the branch and the customers.
  • Review the equipment and work required from the quote requests, and parts need, research pricing, and quote forklift fleet account billing.
  • Interact with internal and external customers to answer questions, provide support, and educate clients about the company's products, services and offers.
  • Set values on all trades (parts, service, labor, etc.) with analysis and adjustments to the competitive market.
  • Responsible for notifying the branch service coordinators and technicians on any estimates approved by customer.

Job Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working in dealership, preferably with service or warranty background.
  • Extensive knowledge of the material handling industry as well as experience in the wholesale market preferred.
  • Self-starter who can work independently or in a team.
  • Pleasant demeanor with excellent customer service and communication and follow-up skills.
  • Able to effectively manage time and multiple priorities.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite systems and other computer programs; Microsoft Dynamics 365, Equipsoft and Tinnacity experience preferred.
