Job description

About WRITER
WRITER is where the world's leading enterprises orchestrate AI-powered work. Our vision is to expand human capacity through superintelligence. And we're proving it's possible - through powerful, trustworthy AI that unites IT and business teams together to unlock enterprise-wide transformation. With WRITER's end-to-end platform, hundreds of companies like Mars, Marriott, Uber, and Vanguard are building and deploying AI agents that are grounded in their company's data and fueled by WRITER's enterprise-grade LLMs. Valued at $1.9B and backed by industry-leading investors including Premji Invest, Radical Ventures, and ICONIQ Growth, WRITER is rapidly cementing its position as the leader in enterprise generative AI.
Founded in 2020 with office hubs in San Francisco, New York City, Austin, Chicago, and London, our team thinks big and moves fast, and we're looking for smart, hardworking builders and scalers to join us on our journey to create a better future of work with AI.
About this role
WRITER is scaling at lightspeed, and our New York office is at the heart of that journey. As our workplace experience manager, you'll be the architect of the daily environment for our NYC team, which has already cleared the 100-person mark and shows no signs of slowing down. This isn't just about managing a physical space; it's about designing an atmosphere where the world's best AI builders feel inspired, supported, and ready to do their life's work. You'll have a creative mandate to surprise and delight your colleagues, turning our Penn Plaza hub into a world-class destination for collaboration and innovation.
This role matters because our culture is our competitive advantage. You'll join a scaling team of workplace professionals across our global hubs to establish operational excellence and build a sense of belonging that scales with us. From high-stakes events to the perfect snack selection, you'll own the "vibe" and functionality of our New York presence.
This is a full-time, office-based role at our 1 Pennsylvania Plaza location, requiring 5 days in the office each week. This role will also provide structured remote support for our Chicago, Illinois office, and secondary support for our London, UK office. You'll report directly to our director of people operations.
โ˜† What you need
  • 5+ years of experience in workplace operations, hospitality, or office management within a fast-paced technology environment
  • Proven ability to manage complex events and office logistics with a high degree of "scrappiness" and attention to detail
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to pivot quickly when priorities shift in a high-growth environment
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer-centric mindset that prioritizes the needs of colleagues and guests
  • Hands-on experience with workplace experience platforms, budgeting tools, and vendor contract negotiations
  • A proactive "owner" mentality that anticipates problems before they arise and resolves them with empathy and clarity
  • A deep alignment with our values to Connect with your teammates, Challenge the status quo, and Own the outcome of every project you touch

Benefits & perks (US Full-time employees)
  • Generous PTO, plus company holidays
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage for you and your family
  • Paid parental leave for all parents (16 weeks)
  • Fertility and family planning support
  • Early-detection cancer testing through Galleri
  • Flexible spending account and dependent FSA options
  • Health savings account for eligible plans with company contribution
  • Annual work-life stipends for:
    • Wellness stipend for gym, massage/chiropractor, personal training, etc.
    • Learning and development stipend
  • Company-wide off-sites and team off-sites
  • Competitive compensation, company stock options and 401k
