About the Role

TrueChoice Coverage is a growing insurance agency seeking a Director of Agency Operations to own and run the operational backbone of the business.
This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for bringing structure, driving execution, and ensuring the agency runs efficiently day-to-day. You will work directly with leadership to build and refine operational systems across agent onboarding, carrier relationships, workflows, and performance management.
This is not a maintenance role we are looking for someone who can step in, take ownership, and build structure where it does not yet exist while keeping everything moving forward.
What Youll Do

  • Own day-to-day agency operations and ensure consistent execution across the business
  • Manage and strengthen carrier relationships, appointments, and alignment
  • Lead agent onboarding, licensing, and compliance processes end-to-end
  • Build, implement, and enforce internal workflows and operational systems
  • Drive accountability across timelines, projects, and team execution
  • Partner with leadership to align operations with growth initiatives
  • Support and optimize call center and lead flow operations (as applicable)
  • Identify gaps, remove blockers, and continuously improve how the agency operates
What Were Looking For

  • 5+ years in an insurance agency environment (required)
    • Experience selling or supporting individual policies (life, health, or personal lines)
  • Proven experience owning or running agency operations (not just supporting)
  • Experience in a call center, high-volume, or lead-driven environment strongly preferred
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • agent onboarding
    • licensing and compliance
    • internal workflows and process execution
  • Ability to operate independently and take full ownership of outcomes
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a bias toward action
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment where structure is still being built
Nice to Have (But Not Required)

  • Experience managing or supporting commission processes
  • Exposure to lead vendors or lead flow management
  • Experience scaling operations in a growing agency or startup environment
Why This Role

  • Direct ownership of a critical function within a growing agency
  • Opportunity to build and shape operational systems from the ground up
  • High visibility and direct collaboration with leadership
  • Ability to make an immediate and measurable impact on business performance
Compensation

  • Base salary: $135,000 $160,000
  • Performance-based bonus: 1520% tied to operational outcomes
  • Total compensation potential: $155,000 $190,000+

This is a remote position.
