Position Summary

The Human Resources Associate will support daily HR functions, ensure compliance with employment laws and assists with employee programs including onboarding, training, and employee relations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations by monitoring updates and implementing necessary changes to policies and practices.
  • Develop, update and recommend HR policies and procedures to support organizational goals and maintain compliance.
  • Coordinate and deliver onboarding sessions, ensuring new hires have a positive and informative introduction to the company.
  • Facilitate company training and presentations on HR related topics.
  • Review exit surveys, analyze feedback and recommend actionable improvements to enhance employee retention and engagement.
  • Provide guidance and counsel to managers and employees on HR policies, employee relations issues, and performance management.
  • Assist with benefits administration, including employee enrollment and inquiries.
  • Support performance review processes and employee development initiatives.
  • Assist in handling employee relations matter with professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Participate in audits and HR reporting to ensure data accuracy and compliance.
  • Assist with and taking the lead on assigned projects and meeting deliverables and timelines.

Education and Experience

  • 3 + years of experience in a Human Resources role.
  • Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to effectively lead training and onboarding sessions.
  • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Demonstrated computer skills in word processing, spreadsheet, and electronic mail software (MS Office).
  • Experience with HRIS systems in updating employee information and running reports.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, and a high level of professional integrity with an emphasis on quality customer service.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills in a dynamic, constantly changing environment.
  • Attention to detail and quality focused.
