• Conduct detailed clinical assessments for new patients, developing comprehensive and individualized treatment plans that align with best practices in hospice care.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), to effectively address the mental health needs of patients, adapting techniques to suit each unique remote setting.
• Maintain meticulous clinical records and documentation, ensuring adherence to ethical standards and regulations as outlined by the National Association of Social Workers (NASW).
• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration through virtual consultations with psychiatrists, nurses, and other mental health specialists, fostering a comprehensive approach to patient care.
• Provide psychoeducation to patients and families regarding mental health issues, treatment options, and available resources to enhance their understanding and engagement in the care process.
• Participate in ongoing professional development through webinars, virtual conferences, and peer review meetings, consistently integrating new knowledge into your clinical practice.
• Manage a diverse caseload of patients, ensuring that all treatment goals are met with efficiency and effectiveness.

As a Remote Hospice Mental Health Clinician, you will work primarily with patients experiencing significant health challenges, including those with terminal diagnoses. Your role will involve providing psychological support to individuals and their families, helping them navigate the complexities of grief and mental distress associated with chronic and terminal illnesses.

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Texas.
• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, particularly in providing psychotherapy services within a health care setting.
• Demonstrated expertise in solution-focused therapeutic interventions, especially those applicable to hospice and palliative care.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, adept at leveraging digital platforms for effective clinical engagement.
• Proficient problem-solving and critical thinking abilities, effectively tackling the unique challenges of remote practice.
