Job description

Salary: $110,000

Location: Hybrid – Ft. Washington, PA

  • 2 days/week onsite (any days) if within 40 miles or 75 minutes
  • If outside radius: remote with ability to come onsite as needed (2x per month) (go-lives, required courses, etc.)
    Schedule: Standard business hours (M–F)
    Relocation: Local candidates preferred



 

Must-Haves:

  • Epic Certifications: Cadence, Prelude, Grand Central (GC preferred NOT required)
  • Experience with EPIC Real-Time Eligibility (RTE)
  • Experience with creating curriculum and written training materials (tipsheets, guides)
  • Strong communication skills to partner across application, training teams, and organization end users



Plusses:

  • Grand Central certification
  • uPerform experience (training provided and licensure provided first 90 days)
  • Experience supporting Epic conversions or rollouts

Job Description:

Insight Global is seeking an Instructional Designer for a large healthcare client undergoing significant Epic growth and consolidation initiatives. This individual will be responsible for designing and developing high-quality, self-paced Epic training content that supports access-related workflows across the organization. Sitting closely with Epic application teams, this role focuses on translating new builds, updates, and workflow changes into clear, effective learning materials rather than delivering classroom instruction. The ideal candidate is Epic-certified in Cadence, Prelude, and Grand Central, thrives in highly collaborative environments, and is passionate about using education to drive measurable improvements in patient access, operational efficiency, and safety.



Day-to-Day:

  • Design and develop self-paced curriculum in uPerform for Epic Access applications
  • Create “What do you do now?” training focused on workqueues, edits, and new-user workflows
  • Support users transitioning from Cerner to Epic
  • Develop and maintain tipsheets using NOVA notes
  • Migrate training content into integrated uPerform repository
  • Partner closely with application teams to understand new builds and updates
  • Cover projects related to authorizations and appointments
  • Pass completed curriculum to classroom trainers (this role does not deliver classroom training)
  • Participate in ACE environments to practice and validate workflows
  • Troubleshoot issues for new Epic users during go-lives
  • Develop curriculum for hospitals moving to a single Epic instance
  • Attend all team and project meetings
  • Partner with training team on strategy and alignment
