Earn Extra Income This Fall Supporting ChristianaCare's Epic Launch
ChristianaCare is hiring experienced Epic At-The-Elbow (ATE) Support Specialists to assist clinical teams during our Epic electronic health record go-live. This short-term opportunity is ideal for individuals with prior Epic support, training, or analyst experience who want to contribute to a high-impact clinical transition while earning additional income before the holidays.
What You'll Do
  • Provide real-time, in-person support to nurses, physicians, techs, therapists, and other clinical staff as they use Epic during patient-care activities.
  • Guide clinicians through essential Epic workflows, including:
    • Documentation
    • Medication administration
    • Order review
    • Results viewing
    • Admission / discharge / transfer
    • Worklist management
  • Help staff understand what is happening in Epic vs. the expected workflow and assist them in completing tasks safely and efficiently.
  • Troubleshoot issues at the elbow, gather key details, and escalate concerns immediately to the appropriate application or command center teams.
  • Reinforce training content, tip sheets, and best practices to build user confidence.
  • Participate in shift huddles, collaborate with super users and ATE leads, and share trends or recurring issues.
  • Log user questions, issues, and escalations to support accurate tracking and continuity across shifts.

What You Bring
  • High school diploma, equivalent or higher education required
  • Experience providing Epic support as an ATE specialist, Epic analyst, or credentialed Epic trainer.
  • Experience assisting peers, precepting, or supporting clinical workflows.
  • Comfort navigating EMRs and learning new digital tools.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to remain calm, patient, and professional in a fast-paced clinical environment.
  • Ability to round frequently, respond quickly when staff need help, and maintain situational awareness in active patient-care areas.

This position will be paid at a flat rate of $55 per hour
This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare's good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
