Silver Lining Counseling, LLC is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Therapist with expertise in child and adolescent psychology. This full-time, remote position focuses on providing essential mental health care to young populations and their families from the comfort of their own homes. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the emotional and psychological well-being of children and adolescents by delivering tailored therapeutic interventions.

Work Environment

This role will primarily be remote, allowing for flexibility while maintaining a strong connection with our outpatient office in Plano, Texas. You will be equipped with the tools and support necessary to effectively manage patient needs while promoting a culture of wellness and growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough mental health assessments and evaluations to understand each child's unique needs and situations.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that consider developmental stages and parental involvement.
  • Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Play Therapy, to address a variety of concerns including anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral issues.
  • Facilitate family therapy sessions to empower parents and caregivers in their critical roles, enhancing their abilities to support their children.
  • Work alongside child psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to deliver an integrated approach to mental health care.
  • Respond to mental health crises with timely intervention and support.
  • Educate families about mental health conditions, treatment pathways, and available community resources.
  • Ensure all documentation meets legal and ethical standards while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Participate actively in team meetings, case discussions, and continual professional development programs.
  • Stay abreast of current trends and best practices in child and adolescent mental health.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This role is fundamentally centered around child and adolescent care, addressing a range of mental health challenges faced by young individuals. Qualifications
  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Texas.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of child and adolescent mental health disorders, treatment modalities, and relevant therapeutic approaches.
  • Proven experience in delivering both individual and family therapy focused on children and adolescents.
  • Strong communication skills with a focus on building rapport and trust with young clients and their families.
  • Familiarity with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and comfortable using technology in a therapeutic setting.
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively as part of a diverse and interdisciplinary team.
Preferred Experience
  • At least two years of post-graduate experience in a comparable clinical setting.
  • Hands-on experience with evidence-based therapy techniques suited for children and adolescents.
  • Previous work in outpatient settings and familiarity with community mental health services.
Compensation and Benefits
