The LCSW will play a crucial role in promoting the social, emotional, and cognitive development of children in a telehealth setting, offering the flexibility of working from home while serving families in need.

About the Organization

Lowland Behavioral Health Center is a leading provider of mental health services in Arlington, Texas, committed to supporting individuals and families facing challenges in mental and emotional health. Our organization prioritizes holistic care and aims to empower children and their families through various programs, including Early Intervention services tailored for infants and toddlers. We work collaboratively with local agencies and community resources, ensuring a comprehensive approach to early childhood development.

Work Environment

This role is entirely remote, allowing for a flexible work schedule while interacting with families and team members via digital platforms. As a participant in our hospice center’s outreach program, you will collaborate with other healthcare professionals in a supportive environment that encourages professional growth and fosters work-life balance. Our team values compassion, detailed communication, and responsiveness to ensure we provide the best care possible.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments to determine the needs of children with delays or disabilities, collaborating with parents and caregivers to gather essential information.
  • Participate actively in the development and implementation of Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs), ensuring that interventions are tailored to each child's specific needs.
  • Monitor and track outcomes of interventions, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on individual progress and feedback.
  • Provide early intervention support to families, offering guidance and resources that empower them to foster their child’s development at home.
  • Stay informed about and comply with all Federal and State regulations regarding early intervention services.
  • Build and maintain strong rapport with children, families, and team members to create a positive learning environment that enhances developmental outcomes.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This position primarily serves infants and toddlers who are experiencing developmental delays across various domains, including cognitive, social/emotional, and communication skills. Families are at the center of our approach, and as an LCSW, you will provide vital resources and support to parents to ensure the best possible developmental trajectories for their children.

Qualifications
  • A Master's Degree or Doctorate in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.
  • Current License as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) from the Department of Public Health is mandatory.
  • A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required for occasional local outreach events.
  • A deep understanding of natural learning environment practices and the ability to adapt to various learning styles is essential.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively connect with children and families.
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience working in early intervention settings or directly with children facing developmental challenges is preferred.
  • Experience with telehealth services and digital communication tools is advantageous, as our role heavily relies on virtual interaction.
  • A demonstrated commitment to continuing education and professional development in social work and early childhood intervention.
Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from $75,000 to $80,000. In addition to competitive compensation, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes a sign-on bonus, a 401(k) plan with company matching contributions, generous paid time off (PTO) and sick leave, flexible scheduling options, and referral bonuses for bringing in new talent.
