Vitality Therapy Centre is seeking a dedicated and licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our specialized team focused on child and adolescent psychiatry. This full-time remote position allows you to provide essential therapeutic services to young patients and their families from the comfort of your home in Austin, Texas. This position is remote, allowing for flexibility in your work schedule while ensuring you maintain a work-life balance. You will adhere to a standard work schedule of Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts based on patient needs. Our clinic utilizes advanced electronic health record (EHR) systems to streamline patient documentation and facilitate communication among team members.

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to determine the specific needs of children and adolescents, gathering comprehensive histories and relevant information.
• Design, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans that factor in the developmental stages of patients and engage family dynamics effectively.
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and play therapy, to address issues like anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders.
• Facilitate family therapy sessions to empower parents and caregivers, fostering a nurturing environment that supports the patient’s development.
• Collaborate with child psychiatrists and interdisciplinary teams to ensure that every treatment plan is cohesive and comprehensive.
• Offer crisis intervention services during mental health emergencies, providing timely support to stabilize and reassess patient needs.
• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions and available treatment options, equipping them with resources and coping strategies.
• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with legal, ethical, and clinical standards to support continuity of care.
• Engage actively in team meetings and case consultations, contributing to collective knowledge and best practices in child mental health treatment.
• Stay current with the latest research and methodologies in child psychiatry through continuing education and professional development opportunities.

This role primarily focuses on children and adolescents facing various mental health issues. You will be instrumental in providing support for conditions such as anxiety, depression, autism spectrum disorders, and behavioral challenges, while also addressing the emotional and psychological needs of their families.

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Active and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas.
• Demonstrated knowledge of child and adolescent mental health disorders, therapeutic modalities, and developmental psychology.
• Experience in providing individual and family therapy services to children and adolescents, with proven therapeutic techniques and successful outcomes.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, emphasizing a compassionate and effective approach to building rapport with young patients and their families.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems and associated software applications to maintain patient documentation.
• A collaborative mindset, able to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team environment.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience working directly with children and adolescents in a therapeutic setting.
• Specialized training in evidence-based practices related to child and adolescent mental health.
• Familiarity with community resources and referral networks that support family and patient needs.
