Job description

WI Technology Struts Remediation - IT Project Manager

Openings: 1 position available

Location: Westlake, TX OR Smithfield, RI

Work Arrangement: Hybrid / Partial Remote (Requires onboarding/connect weeks onsite at the Dallas/Westlake, TX or Smithfield, RI locations).

Interview Process: Standard client interview process (No ROPES assessment indicated for this track).

Important Note for Candidates

Critical Requirement: This position is for a true, traditional IT Project Manager. The hiring team is strictly not looking for a Scrum Master or an Agile Coach.

Job Summary & Project Scope

Fidelity Investments is executing a critical technology remediation initiative to migrate applications from the end-of-life Apache Struts framework over to the Spring framework. The project relies heavily on an existing, AI-driven DevAssist solution to safely automate parts of the conversion. The ultimate goal is to complete a consistent, scalable migration across enterprise applications while preserving existing business logic, system functionality, and user experience with minimal production impact.

As the IT Project Manager, you will lead a dedicated migration squad consisting of 5 Full Stack Developers and 2 Quality Engineers (SDETs).

Key Responsibilities
  • Phase Coordination: Oversee the phased execution of the application migration process, ensuring that the team strictly adheres to automated analysis, systematic refactoring, and validation steps.
  • Team & Resource Management: Manage the developer and quality engineering team to effectively leverage the AI DevAssist solution, maintaining steady sprint targets and velocity.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Facilitate cross-functional communication and remove roadblocks among team members to enhance automation workflows for system discovery, regression testing, and technical dependency cleanup.
