Position Highlights

POSITION SUMMARY: Registration Specialist receives and assists patients and visitors across Clinic, Outpatient, and Emergency Services. This role is responsible for maintaining efficient patient flow, registering patients, completing insurance verification prior to appointments, verifying and updating demographics, scheduling appointments, forwarding calls, collecting payments, supporting medical records processes, completing ER room registration, and performing general clerical and cashier duties. The Registration Specialist ensures high-quality service and supports organizational operations through accurate documentation and adherence to policies.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma preferred.
  • Computer skills and ability to learn various software systems.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Good interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to multitask, change priorities quickly, and handle constant interruptions.
  • Knowledge of Excel, email applications preferred.
  • Medical Terminology or completion within the first year of employment preferred.
  • Six months of office experience, preferably in a medical setting
  • One year of medical office or billing experience, including knowledge of patient types and insurance billing preferred.
