Job description

Registration Clerk

The Registration Clerk is responsible for greeting and assisting patients in a professional and courteous manner while performing accurate and efficient registration functions for inpatients, outpatients, or emergency department patients. This position ensures that all necessary demographic, insurance, and consent information is obtained, verified, and documented in accordance with Med Center Health policies, regulatory requirements, and confidentiality standards. The Registration Clerk may also collect patient copays and other payments as required at their location.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Previous registration, customer service, or healthcare experience preferred.
  • Experience with medical terminology, insurance processes, and electronic health records preferred.
