DESCRIPTION
Cypress Physical Therapy is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and patient-focused Referral & Patient Benefits Manager to oversee all aspects of patient referrals, insurance verification, and benefits coordination. This role serves as a critical liaison between patients, providers, insurance companies, and clinic staff to ensure timely access to care while delivering an exceptional patient experience.
This is an in-office position based at the corporate office. To support operational needs across the organization, the Referral & Patient Benefits Manager is also expected to provide coverage in Cypress Physical Therapy clinics for up to eight (8) days per month as needed.
Summary:
Referral Manager: manages patient or client referrals by coordinating with providers to schedule appointments, verifying insurance and securing authorizations, communicating with patients, maintaining accurate records, and resolving issues to ensure access to necessary healthcare services or other support.
Patient Benefits Manager: is responsible in obtaining insurance pre-authorizations and verifying patient insurance benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Patient/Client Management: Assist clients by assessing their needs and providing information on scheduling.
  • Coordination: Act as a liaison between patients, referring providers, specialists, and insurance companies to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Administrative Tasks: Complete referral forms, process paperwork, maintain detailed patient records, and utilize internal systems for data entry.
  • Insurance and Authorization: Verify patient insurance coverage and obtain pre-authorizations or pre-certifications for referred services.
  • Communication: Inform patients about their referral status, appointment details, and any required preparation, and address their questions and concerns.
  • Issue Resolution: Identify and resolve any obstacles during the referral process, such as denied claims or rescheduled appointments.
  • Compliance: Ensure that all referral processes and patient information adhere to healthcare regulations and privacy laws.
