Recruiting Consultant

This position will be located in Gulfport, MS and requires 4 days per week in-office.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage the full lifecycle recruiting process from intake through offer acceptance, ensuring alignment with business goals and hiring expectations.

  • Build strong partnerships with hiring managers, HR partners, and other stakeholders to guide decisions and drive an effective recruiting process.

  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies that increase candidate flow and attract high-quality talent for a range of positions.

  • Use creative sourcing methods, including direct sourcing, internet recruiting, networking, database mining, and external research.

  • Leverage data, market insight, and clear communication to keep stakeholders informed and provide timely recommendations.

JOB REQUIREMENTS 

 Experience Requirements: 

  • Minimum of 3 years of full lifecycle recruiting experience, or 3 years of experience at Mississippi Power that demonstrates transferable skills relevant to the Recruiting Consultant role.

  • Demonstrated experience with strategic sourcing, candidate assessment, consultative recruiting, problem solving, and influencing stakeholders.

  • Proven ability to engage, consult, and partner effectively with internal and external clients.

  • Experience using applicant tracking systems and recruiting tools.

  • Successful experience recruiting for hard-to-fill, unique, or specialized positions.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: 

  • Strong knowledge of full lifecycle recruiting, including sourcing, screening, compliance, compensation considerations, and relationship management.

  • Ability to partner with hiring managers and HR partners to develop recruiting strategies using market intelligence and best practices.

  • Ability to assess candidate qualifications, behavioral attributes, and overall organizational fit.

  • Ability to manage the offer process, including salary recommendations, negotiations, and close strategy.

  • Ability to build diverse candidate pipelines through targeted sourcing and outreach strategies.

  • Strong project management, organization, and follow-through skills.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally across all levels of the organization.
