Position Description & Details
Join the team behind student success at Bismarck State College! We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Academic Records Office Assistant to provide valuable support to the Academic Records Office during peak times throughout the year.
This role is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys organization, collaboration, and helping students and campus departments stay on track behind the scenes.
What You'll Do
  • Provide administrative and office support services for the Academic Records Office.
  • Assist with the annual academic catalog process, including proofreading and coordinating updates with academic departments.
  • Support academic records maintenance and updates within the student information system (SIS).
  • Assist with new student registration processes by preparing registration folders and supporting registration event days.
  • Help maintain internal fetching setup tasks within the SIS.
  • Ensure compliance with FERPA, records retention requirements, and institutional policies.
  • Participate in job-related training and professional development opportunities.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support office operations and student services.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Good computer software skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Able to work independently and handle interruptions.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and good at multitasking.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Office experience.
