Job Description:
Job Summary
Responsible for greeting and assisting all visitors, children, and families upon arrival. Monitors and approves entrance to designated areas to ensure safety and security. Provides clerical support to center leadership and assists with departmental operations as needed. Facilitates communication by keeping guests, patients, and families informed and addressing concerns. Supports additional departments and classrooms to ensure smooth daily operations.
Essential Functions
• Greets and provides information to customers, families, and visitors while maintaining confidentiality.
• Monitors and screens visitors and team members upon entry according to guidelines and maintains visitors log or software.
• Answers and routes phone calls, operates the main phone system, and conveys messages.
• Pages all codes and ERTs. Receives disaster information and issues all clear. Monitors security, plant ops, nursing, and valet radios as needed.
• Transports/escorts visitors, patients, etc.
• Maintains and updates data, records, and personnel files using designated software and systems.
• Sorts, distributes, and prepares mail, maintaining logs and following procedures for suspicious items.
• Prepares and distributes newsletters, attendance sheets, and registration materials as needed.
• Coordinates and monitors classroom and facility access, schedules, and staffing to maintain required ratios.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Education Requirement
High school diploma or equivalent experience
Experience Requirement
0-2 years of experience in a healthcare, clinical setting, or a relevant area
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
All experience must be paid and in the same related field.
Part-time and PRN experience will be prorated based on hours worked per week.
Volunteer work and internships for academic credit are not counted.
