Job Summary:

The Quality Control (QC) Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that all incoming materials, in-process batches, and finished products meet company and regulatory quality standards. This role supervises QC analysts and ensures the accuracy, reliability, and timeliness of laboratory testing. The QC Supervisor is also responsible for managing OOS/OOT investigations, ensuring compliance with GMP/GLP, preparing the lab for audits, and coordinating with Production and QA to maintain uninterrupted product release. This position plays a critical role in safeguarding product integrity and customer satisfaction. 


Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise daily QC laboratory activities, including sample scheduling, testing, and documentation. 
  • Oversee analytical testing of raw materials, packaging materials, in-process, and finished products using validated methods. 
  • Review, verify, and approve analytical data, test results, and laboratory documentation. 
  • Investigate OOS, OOT, and other non-conformances; ensure timely closure of investigations and corrective actions. 
  • Ensure strict compliance with GMP, GLP, ISO, FDA, and other regulatory guidelines. 
  • Manage calibration, qualification, and maintenance of QC laboratory instruments (e.g., HPLC, GC, UV, balances). 
  • Coordinate with QA and Production to support batch disposition and timely product release. 
  • Maintain laboratory SOPs, training materials, and testing protocols in line with current regulations. 
  • Lead laboratory audits and ensure readiness for regulatory inspections. 
  • Train and mentor QC analysts, focusing on technical skills, compliance, and professional growth. 
  • Monitor lab safety practices, hazardous chemical handling, and waste management procedures. 
  • Maintain laboratory supply inventory and ensure proper storage and labeling of reagents, chemicals, and samples. 
  • Execute additional responsibilities as required to meet evolving business needs and leadership directives. 

Requirements

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's/Master's in Chemistry, Pharmacy, or related field. 
  • 3-5 years' QC experience in manufacturing, with 1-2 years in supervision. 


Skills & Competencies:

  • Knowledge of analytical techniques and lab instrumentation. 
  • Detail-oriented and strong problem-solving skills. 
  • Leadership and team management ability. 
  • Strong documentation and compliance focus.
