Position Overview:
The Quality Control Supervisor is responsible for leading and directing the New Coach Quality Control team to ensure every motorcoach is inspected, repaired, tested, and prepared in accordance with ABC Companies' quality standards. This role oversees inspection activities, coordinates workflow, verifies repair quality, and ensures coaches are completed on schedule while maintaining compliance with company policies and applicable regulatory requirements.
Working closely with the New Coach Operations Manager and cross-functional teams, the Quality Control Supervisor promotes a culture of quality, accountability, safety, and continuous improvement throughout the inspection process.

In this role, you'll make an impact by:
  • Leading a high-performing quality control team that consistently delivers coaches meeting ABC's quality standards.
  • Ensuring new coaches are inspected, repaired, and completed on schedule to exceed customer delivery expectations.
  • Maintaining exceptional quality, safety, and compliance throughout the inspection and repair process.
  • Building a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Partnering with Operations to proactively resolve issues and improve overall delivery performance.

Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Management
  • Provide day-to-day leadership, direction, coaching, and support to the Quality Control team.
  • Establish priorities, assign work, and monitor progress to ensure inspection and repair activities remain on schedule.
  • Promote accountability, teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement throughout the department.
  • Communicate daily with the New Coach Operations Manager regarding production status, quality concerns, and operational priorities.

Quality Control & Inspection
  • Oversee inspections of new motorcoaches using established quality control checklists and company standards.
  • Verify coaches meet all quality, safety, and operational requirements prior to customer delivery.
  • Perform and oversee road tests to validate repairs and overall vehicle performance.
  • Ensure inspection documentation is complete, accurate, and properly maintained.

Repair Coordination & Warranty Support
  • Perform or assist with necessary repairs identified during inspections.
  • Create warranty claims and repair documentation as required.
  • Coordinate repair activities with technicians and other departments to resolve quality issues efficiently.
  • Ensure repairs are completed to manufacturer and ABC Companies standards.

Operations & Compliance
  • Maintain production schedules to ensure coaches are completed on or ahead of customer delivery commitments.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Adhere to all ABC Companies policies, procedures, and safety standards.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training in automotive, diesel, or commercial vehicle repair preferred.
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience within the automotive, commercial vehicle, fleet maintenance, RV, or motorcoach industry required.
  • Strong understanding of commercial vehicle inspection, repair, and quality assurance processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger endorsement and satisfy all applicable DOT requirements.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and business software applications, including ERP systems.
  • Previous motorcoach or commercial bus industry experience preferred.

  • Ability to perform inspections indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to operate computers, tablets, diagnostic equipment, and other business systems.
  • Ability to safely operate commercial vehicles during quality inspections and road tests.
