Job description

Quality Control Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced Quality Control Supervisor to oversee inspection operations within a manufacturing environment. The role involves supervising and scheduling departmental workload, ensuring timely processing of inspection activities, and maintaining high-quality standards across in-process and final inspections.

The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical inspection experience, a solid machining/manufacturing background, and expertise in interpreting blueprints, GD&T, and applying quality standards. This position requires hands-on involvement with inspection equipment and the ability to ensure dimensional accuracy and compliance with specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and schedule inspection department activities based on workload

  • Perform in-process and final inspections using precision measuring equipment

  • Interpret blueprints and design sketches to ensure dimensional accuracy

  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and inspection procedures

  • Support continuous improvement in inspection and metrology processes

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in Metrology/Inspection field

  • Strong mechanical inspection and machining background

  • Proficiency in GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)

  • Understanding of SPC (Statistical Process Control)

  • Experience with inspection tools and equipment; CMM experience preferred

  • Computer proficiency (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Familiarity with AS9100 or ISO 9000 standards preferred

  • Prior supervisory or team lead experience is a plus
