Description
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
This position is Associate level who will support the Procurement, Logistics, and Sales Operations departments and be responsible for purchasing materials to support residential business projects and for managing all aspects of shipping and delivery to the job sites. This position is based in San Francisco, California, 10% of domestic and international travel will be required
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Monitor the shipment status and check invoices to request payment to vendors
  • Review Bill of Material with the engineering teams for the projects
  • Place purchasing orders with the vendors and monitor PO status to follow up the projects
  • Coordinate the schedule with the fulfilment team and arrange the project delivery to the job site to meet the installation
  • Ensure that goods are shipped in the most timely and efficient manner according to documented processes, including planning the transportation routes, selecting the mode of transportation, and tracking the shipment from pick-up through delivery all the while targeting cost reduction, freight savings, service and contractual requirements
  • Understand general shipping procedures and documentation
  • Continuous tracking and tracing of all inbound/outbound shipments, including daily organizing and saving of commercial shipping documents onto our database
  • Update daily PO tracking spreadsheet, including PO, delivery, and Invoice etc.
  • Efficient interaction between vendors and internal teams with the highest levels of customer service.
  • Adhere to existing logistics processes and apply both industry and organizational best practices
  • Perform other duties and special projects, as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • bachelor's degree + 1~3 years of experience in a related field.
  • 1+ years of experience in either procurement and/or supply chain/logistics a must
  • Possession of a valid passport and ability to travel overseas without difficulty
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Critical and strategic thinking skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple and simultaneous projects, issues, and activities
  • Strong interpersonal, implementation and facilitation skills
  • Strong, self-motivated team player
