Job description

Join Adecco in a dynamic, corporate environment located within Dublin, CA. This is an exciting temp-to-hire opportunity to work directly with a Fortune 500 company at their Corporate Headquarters. About the Role:

As a Retail Purchasing Agent, you will be responsible for the forecasting, purchasing, and production planning of supply items necessary for Store Operations. This includes issuing and processing orders and payments, vendor management, catalog management, data analysis, and internal customer support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support store operations by creating purchase orders, tracking orders, resolving invoice issues, and assisting with special projects.

  • Manage daily purchasing activities, including accurate PO processing, expense control, vendor inventory management, and month-end/year-end support.

  • Maintain accurate supply catalog and vendor data, including pricing, specifications, lead times, and inventory information.

  • Respond to business partner requests and complete assigned projects and time-sensitive tasks.

  • Develop and implement process improvements and purchasing best practices.

  • Generate and analyze reports on spending, inventory usage, forecasts, and vendor performance.

  • Partner with stores, distribution centers, and suppliers to ensure supplies are available, functional, and delivered on time.

  • Track freight invoices, accruals, and related departmental expenses.

  • Gather field feedback to identify purchasing improvements and support execution plans.

  • Coordinate with Store Operations to ensure required state and federal labor postings are current and properly displayed.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.

  • 2-3 years of purchasing/procurement experience.

  • Must be proficient in MS Office, especially in Excel (Pivot Tables, Lookups, etc.).

  • Must be detail oriented

  • Must be able to function in a fast-paced retail corporate environment

Additional Details:

  • Work hours: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.

  • Hybrid work model – 1 day a week onsite (Wednesdays)

  • Parking: On-campus parking available.

  • Environment: Business casual dress code.

Pay Details: $28.00 to $30.00 per hour
