Job description

PURCHASING COORDINATOR

Guarantee Electrical is looking for a detail-driven, relationship-focused Purchasing Coordinator who thrives in a fast-moving environment where accuracy, speed, and communication matter.

In this role, you won't just be placing orders-you'll be a critical link between our field teams, project managers, vendors, and internal partners to ensure the right materials are in the right place at the right time. Your work directly supports the success of our projects, helping keep schedules on track and teams productive.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Keep Projects Moving

You'll process approved material requests and turn them into accurate purchase orders, ensuring all details-quantities, pricing, vendors, and delivery timelines-are correct from the start.

Own Order Visibility

You'll track purchase order activity, monitor delivery timelines, and proactively communicate updates so project teams always know where things stand.

Problem Solve in Real Time

When something doesn't line up-pricing discrepancies, delays, or missing information-you'll step in to investigate, coordinate with vendors and internal teams, and drive issues to resolution.

Connect Teams and Information

You'll act as a central point of coordination between project managers, field teams, vendors, warehouse, and accounting-keeping communication clear, timely, and organized.

Maintain Accurate Records

From purchase order tracking to vendor documentation, you'll ensure everything is documented clearly and consistently so decisions and follow-up are easy.

Support Vendor Relationships

You'll help maintain strong working relationships with vendors, ensuring responsiveness and reliability that supports our project needs.

WHAT YOU BRING

Strong Attention to Detail – You catch errors before they become problems and take pride in getting the details right the first time.

Ability to Prioritize and Adapt – You're comfortable managing multiple requests at once and know how to shift priorities when timelines change.

Problem-Solving Mindset – You don't stop at identifying issues-you take ownership of finding solutions and following through.

Clear and Professional Communication – You build trust with both internal teams and external partners by communicating clearly, proactively, and respectfully.

Organizational Strength – You keep information structured and accessible, even in a fast-paced environment with competing demands.

Technology Comfort – You're comfortable learning and working within purchasing systems and tools that support tracking and reporting.

EXPERIENCE & BACKGROUND

  • Associate degree in business, accounting, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 1–3 years of experience in purchasing, construction, or a related field
  • Experience in electrical construction or similar industries is a plus

WHY GUARANTEE?

Your work directly supports field productivity and project success-when materials flow well, everything else does too. You'll be part of a fastpaced, teamdriven environment where project teams, field leaders, and operational partners rely on each other to deliver results. As we continue to grow, you'll have opportunities to expand your role, build new skills, and take on greater responsibility. And as an employeeowned company, your contributions don't just help the business succeed-they help you build longterm value alongside it.

THE GUARANTEE WAY

This role plays a key part in how we operate every day-bringing organization, responsiveness, and accountability to our purchasing processes while supporting the teams that build our projects.

All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or veteran status. For more information about Guarantee Electrical Company, please visit www.geco.com
