Associate Buyer

Pay: $16-18/hr
Shift: 1st Shift, Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM-2:30 PM
Job Type: Temp-to-Hire
Location: Pryor, OK



Purpose of Position

The Associate Buyer will perform entry-level purchasing functions and assist with procurement processes to build skills in the full purchasing cycle.


Key Responsibilities
  • Review requisitions to ensure accuracy and adherence to specifications.
  • Create and process purchase orders efficiently.
  • Award bids and establish effective communication with suppliers.
  • Track and monitor orders to ensure timely delivery and resolve delays.
  • Maintain comprehensive purchasing records and address procurement issues.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, internal departments, and logistics teams to ensure seamless order flow.
  • Support department projects and complete data entry tasks as required.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of purchasing experience.
  • Proficient in administrative and clerical tasks, including spreadsheets, databases, and word processing software.
  • Strong communication skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in an environment with interruptions.
