The Proposal Writer plays a critical role in securing new enterprise business and retaining existing clients by crafting compelling responses to Requests for Proposal (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs), and similar formal sales documents.

This role requires strong writing skills, business acumen, strategic thinking, and creativity. The Proposal Writer collaborates across departments to develop persuasive, brand-aligned content that supports O.C. Tanner's sales objectives and win strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop high-quality, compliant responses to RFPs, RFIs, and related documents.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, product, and subject matter experts to define win strategies and key messaging.
  • Contribute to proposal strategy, including proposal themes and executive messaging.
  • Plan and integrate written content, visuals, and supplementary materials (e.g., videos, links) into proposals.
  • Analyze RFP requirements, identify gaps, and draft clarifying questions.
  • Identify response risks and support the development of mitigation strategies during the proposal process.
  • Ensure all content aligns with brand guidelines and legal commitments.
  • Synthesize complex or technical input into clear, concise, client-facing language.
