  • Manages all aspects of the project, from construction to budget and cash management, ensuring everything aligns with the project contract and owner requirements. 
  • Develops and manages the project schedule, pay estimates, procedures, staffing needs, and equipment resources to ensure timely and accurate project completion. 
  • Reviews initial project contracts and supporting documents for completeness, and collaborates with the owner to resolve any specification, contract conflicts, and scheduling issues. 
  • Leads engineering and scheduling teams to identify and negotiate proposed change orders, with support from the Area Manager as needed. 
  • Prepares and presents monthly cost and revenue forecasts and reports to Flatiron leadership. 
  • Maintains strong working relationships with Flatiron supporting departments and the project owner to support the project work plan and payment schedule. 
  • Serves as the main point of contact for all third-party stakeholders, including landowners, local business owners, and government agencies involved in the project. 
  • Reviews and approves all internal and external media news releases related to the project. 
  • Ensures project safety by conducting weekly safety checks, participating in safety meetings, and supporting both project and owner safety programs. 
  • Approves staffing and equipment needs to ensure efficient and effective project production. 
  • Participates in the dispute resolution process with support from internal legal counsel. 
  • Provides input on equipment procurement methods and contracts to ensure efficient project production. 
  • Leads project closeout procedures, finalizes contract paperwork, obtains retainages, and works with management to resolve any project claims. Conducts project debriefs to review all aspects of project work and completion. 

  • 15+ years’ experience in construction project management required.
  • 10 + years’ experience in managing personnel required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field a plus.
  • Proven experience in bid-build, CMCG, design build and other alternative delivery projects required.
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Strong interpersonal skills proven to engage and retain positive working relationships.
  • Strong proven skill to identify, track and manage project risk.
  • Proven ability to efficiently and effectively manage multiple departments and direct reports to retain focus on one project completion goal and timeline.
  • Proven ability to identify growth opportunities for project personnel and developed to coach and mentor project personnel.
  • Proven ability to delegate task driven responsibilities to project personnel.
  • Proven knowledge and ability to analyze and interpret financial documentation to identify and mitigate project risk.
  • Advanced and proven interpersonal skills with internal and external contacts.
  • Effective delegation skills to drive efficient, accurate and profitable project completion.
  • Strong ability to appropriately recover funds from claim and dispute resolution.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in managing multiple departments and direct reports to retain focus on one project completion goal and timeline.
  • Strong, inherent ability and drive to negotiate terms of agreement for project work, budget and fund recovery in the project’s best interest.
  • Strong internal branding and sales knowledge to constantly promote yourself and the Company brand.
