Role: Senior Civil Engineer/PM, Storm Water, NJ nuanced.

The group is seeking a Civil Engineering Project Manager to lead and collaborate on land development projects from concept through completion. The role combines hands-on design work with team leadership to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage engineering projects and lead project teams.
  • Prepare and review site plans, grading, drainage, utilities, stormwater, and permitting documents.
  • Perform design tasks, flood studies, and complex calculations.
  • Ensure technical accuracy and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, and regulatory agencies.
  • Prepare proposals, reports, and correspondence.
  • Mentor and train staff, fostering team development.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field; PE preferred.
  • 6–12 years' experience in civil/land development engineering.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D, grading, stormwater management, and hydraulic/hydrologic software (HydraFlow, HydroCAD, StormCAD, HEC-HMS/RAS).
  • Knowledge of local land use processes and regulations (NY/NJ preferred).
  • Strong communication, leadership, and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
