Location: Hillsboro, OR (Onsite)

Duration: 6 months (with possible extension up to 3 years)

Pay Rate: $50–$55/hr (open for discussion)


About the Role:

The Scientific Team at Russell Tobin & Associates is seeking a Technical Project Manager / Project Engineer–type professional for a leading pharmaceutical manufacturing client in Hillsboro, OR. This role is ideal for candidates with strong experience in GMP-regulated environments and manufacturing operations who can lead technical projects from planning through execution.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute internal manufacturing and technical projects from initiation to completion
  • Manage project scope, timelines, resources, and budgets
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration across engineering, operations, and supply chain teams
  • Drive project execution with a focus on process optimization and operational efficiency
  • Support implementation of new technologies and improvements to existing manufacturing processes
  • Ensure adherence to GMP and regulatory standards throughout project lifecycle

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences industry
  • Strong background in GMP or regulated environments
  • Experience working in manufacturing, production, or technical operations
  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional technical projects
  • Background in engineering or technical roles (preferred over pure PM experience)


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in cleanroom or controlled environments
  • PMP or similar project management certification
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills
