 Join our Team Supporting the Air Force Research Laboratory

ASRC Federal Systems Solutions, a subsidiary of ASRC Federal, is seeking a Project Manager (Work Plan Manager) to support mission-critical operations at the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) at Edwards Air Force Base, California.

This position is ideal for a highly organized, proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You will lead project coordination efforts, oversee schedules and budgets, facilitate communication across multiple stakeholders, and ensure projects are executed successfully from planning through completion.

What You'll Do
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers and internal stakeholders regarding project status, schedules, and issues.
  • Coordinate communications between customers, vendors, project teams, and contract leadership.
  • Review project requirements and translate them into actionable project plans.
  • Develop and maintain project requirements, schedules, and tracking documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Track project expenditures and provide weekly cost and status reports to contract management and customer stakeholders.
  • Maintain organized project documentation, digital records, and reporting tools.
  • Consolidate information from multiple sources into centralized tracking systems and databases.
  • Monitor project schedules, identify risks, and recommend mitigation or recovery plans.
  • Coordinate staffing, resources, and material requirements to support project execution.
  • Plan, facilitate, and lead recurring project meetings.
  • Communicate project milestones, accomplishments, risks, and overall status to leadership and customers.
  • Support continuous process improvements to enhance project execution and customer satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and 5–7 years of experience in project management, program coordination, executive support, office administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience managing project budgets and financial tracking.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, including the ability to present to audiences ranging from small teams to large groups.
  • Outstanding customer service and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience developing and maintaining project schedules while communicating schedule changes and risks.
  • Strong computer skills, including troubleshooting presentation and meeting technology.
  • Valid California driver's license.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Training or certifications in project management disciplines such as Microsoft Project, Agile/Scrum, Contract Management, or advanced Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience supporting government, aerospace, defense, engineering, or research organizations.
Additional Requirements
  • Regular, dependable attendance during normal business hours is essential.
  • Must be willing to work outside normal business hours, including overtime with as little as one hour's notice, when mission requirements dictate.
