M&J is seeking a Construction Project Scheduler to provide critical scheduling, planning, and project controls support for WMATA's ongoing and upcoming capital improvement, maintenance, and infrastructure projects.

Salary:
Based on experience the salary range is $90k - $125k annually.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain detailed, resource-loaded schedules for construction, engineering, and maintenance projects in Primavera P6 and/or MS Project.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential schedule impacts, and prepare Time Impact Analysis (TIA) to assess delays and suggest mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure that project milestones are met on time and within budget.
  • Utilize Earned Value Management (EVM) to assess project performance and provide accurate reporting of schedule, cost, and resource utilization.
  • Analyze project delays and work with stakeholders to develop and submit delay claims and change orders as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with all contractual scheduling requirements, including timely submittal of baseline and updated schedules.
  • Provide risk assessments and recommend corrective actions to avoid delays or overruns.
  • Work with project managers and stakeholders to define project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, and critical paths.
  • Monitor schedule progress and perform variance analysis to identify delays, risks, and recovery strategies.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports summarizing schedule status, forecasts, and performance metrics
  • Coordinate with cost estimators and financial analysts to align schedules with project budgets and forecasts.
  • Regularly communicate schedule updates and changes to the project team and relevant stakeholders.
  • Participate in project review meetings and provide scheduling expertise to support decision-making.
  • Attend required meetings and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in construction scheduling, specifically with Primavera P6.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Excel (advanced), and data manipulation/cleansing techniques.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse project teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting transportation, government, or public sector clients (WMATA experience is highly desirable).
  • Knowledge of WMATA's systems, KPIs, and operational data frameworks.
  • Certification in Project Management (PMP) or Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP).
