Position Summary:
This position is responsible for schedule management, cost control and coordination of project activities to ensure successful project delivery. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in project controls within engineering, procurement, fabrication, and/or construction environments.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with management and supervision to update and maintain the project schedule in alignment with the latest work plans.
  • Give timely, precise progress updates to stakeholders (internal and external) and report the status of each scheduled activity.
  • Monitor and manage total float, reporting on critical path variances.
  • Track and document all project changes and assess their schedule and cost impacts.
  • Maintain familiarity with all work areas where the project is underway.
  • Analyze, prepare, and defend project schedules and cost reports.
  • Ensure all project control functions are performed in accordance with contract requirements.

Qualifications:
  • Proven prior experience in Scheduling, ideally on construction projects
  • Project Controls experience will be considered a plus.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in scheduling software, preferably Primavera P6.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate project status clearly and professionally to all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Additional Information:
  • Position requires full-time presence at the jobsite located in Ludington, MI.
  • This role requires regular on-site attendance, with up to six days per week during critical project phases. Flexibility and availability to support these requirements are essential for this role.
  • Candidates must be able to work collaboratively in a team environment and interface effectively with management and field supervision.
  • This role requires attention to detail, organizational skills, and a proactive approach to managing changes and project risks.

Physical Capabilities:
  • This position will require a post offer physical analysis to confirm candidate is fit for duty.
  • Must be able to properly wear and utilize appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) - safety glasses, hard hats, hearing protection, safety boots/shoes, etc.
  • Employees are required to talk and hear in an industrial setting (noise level can be high at times) and regularly required to lift 10 pounds and occasionally required to lift to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to climb ladders, climb steps, etc. as required; Must be able to evacuate a powerhouse on foot via steps.
  • Must be able to stand for several hours at a time on concrete floors.
