Job description

We're looking for a Technical Project Manager to join our Optronics team in Granada, Spain.


Our Technology:

We are the world leader in Resilient Positioning, Navigation and Timing (R-PNT) solutions that improve the reliability, performance, and safety of critical applications, and high-risk operations, even in GPS/GNSS-denied environments. We provide virtually fail-safe GNSS and PNT solutions for military and commercial applications worldwide, and ultra-precise synchronization (sub-ns) and frequency distribution for applications requiring a high degree of reliability and precision through White Rabbit PTP.

We also provide military and security forces with state-of-the-art solutions (electro-optical devices, sights, modules, navigation...) for dismounted soldier as well as for airborne, naval and land platforms, for intelligence, surveillance, detection, identification and reconnaissance missions.


The Position:

As a Technical Project Manager, you will be a key member of our R&D team in Granada, Spain. You will be involved in the development and follow-up of projects for our Optronics team.

What you'll be doing:

Defining schedule and planning for our projects.

Ensuring adherence to project plan by regular follow-up and meetings.

Financial controlling: income and expenses for every project (SAP).

Identifying risks and/or deviations to baseline, not only in planning and cost, but also in technical activities.

Negotiating changes in the scope of projects with relevant stakeholders.

Ensuring technical team stick to the development quality standards (Engineering Quality).

Preparing Industrialization of the product.

Reporting status of projects to the Program Manager.

What you Bring to Safran:

Degree in Electronic Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering, Computer Science or related field.

Good written and communication skills in English.

Knowledge of one or more of the following fields: Electronics, embedded software, systems engineering.

Experience in engineering projects development: methodologies, V&V cycle, metrics, project milestones, certification.

Passion, energy and motivation to participate in international environment.

Capacity for teamwork, organization skills and autonomous work.

Required experience in:

o Project Management.

o Engineering: technical background.

o Electronics.

o Teamplayer in an inter-cultural environment


Desirable experience in:

o Aeronautics standards: DO-254, DO-178, AC 20-152, ARINC, other EASA / FAA norms.

o Optro-electronic systems and/or inertial systems.

o Aerospace industry.

o Defense market.
