Join our dynamic team as an Intern and develop your leadership skills within the Air & Ocean Product services located at our Chicago Branch within DHL Global Forwarding. Our Summer Internship Program is designed to enhance your business acumen through continuous learning and networking opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

Gateway Operations Import & Export

  • Gain familiarization of Gateway functionality of Cargo Mix & ULD Optimization
  • Determine the carrier and ground handler functionality and relationship
  • Learn how to navigate and analyze the business unit's profitability & financials

Warehousing

  • Analyze warehouse work and process flow
  • Conduct dwell time calculation and identify areas for improvement
  • Complete workflow reviews and present optimization projects

As an intern, you can expect to learn and gain exposure to:

  • Crossfunctional collaboration by working with fellow interns and teams across the Midwest region
  • Organizational design fundamentals, including how departments are structured and staffed to support business goals
  • Performance measurement and execution, learning how key metrics are tracked and used to drive results
  • Accounts Receivable processes, including billing, collections, and their impact on cash flow
  • Process evaluation and optimization, participating in projects that improve efficiency, productivity, and workflow
  • Business profitability analysis, contributing to projects focused on cost control, revenue improvement, and financial performance

Required Education and Experience:

Pay Rate: $24.00/hr.
