Position Description
Job Title: Market Manager
Department: Operations
Reports To: Regional Director
Market Manager Summary: Responsible for coordinating installation activities safely and efficiently across the assigned market of their supervision; overseeing Market/Project Foremen and Field Technicians to ensure correct and timely installations; directly interfacing with existing Pierson Wireless customers, while building new customer relationships in the Market Manager's assigned market. Also, this position should follow identified processes, while communicating process improvements to leadership and the training/development team.
Market Manager Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Detail-oriented and results-driven individual, knowledgeable and competent in RF and optical distribution of RF signals
  • Focused on diving into current activities and opportunities, and leveraging current activities into future business
  • Working alongside the team, from all levels of the Pierson Wireless team, advancing our customers' projects and the company's goals and long-term vision as a leading wireless infrastructure, engineering, and construction company
  • Committed to going above and beyond daily, supporting customer projects and company initiatives
  • Willing, able, and motivated to travel to support market activities, as needed
  • Maintains open and accurate communication with supervisors and team members under your supervision
  • Ensures their project teams are aware of all new processes and complete installations accordingly
  • Maintains project timelines and communicates the schedule and any potential disruptions to all invested parties
  • Interfaces with Pierson Wireless' Customers
  • Clocks in and out for activities throughout the day in Pierson Wireless' project management cloud solution
  • Monitors, reviews, and approves both time logs and expense submissions of Market/Project Foremen and Field Technicians under your supervision
  • Supervises Market/Project Foremen, Field Technicians, and contractors to ensure installations are completed in accordance with customer, manufacturer, and Pierson Wireless standards
  • Reviews project installations for accuracy and efficiency
  • Utilizes thePierson Wireless' project management cloud solution to document job updates, request support from other teams, and other job-related tasks
  • Schedules jobs and personnel for work within their market
  • Advises upper management of any downtime or overtime for Market/Project Foremen or Field Technicians
  • Maintains daily completion of safety review with onsite installation personnel
  • Follows safety policies for safe work, per Pierson Wireless policies
  • Completes site walks and surveys site conditions
  • Coordinates installations with the Customer
  • Makes recommendations to the Administration team regarding both the hiring and termination of employees, based on qualifications and/or job performance.
  • Ensures their workforce performs work to the latest and correct standards, set forth by both Pierson Wireless and our Customers
  • Provides support to other team members, as needed
  • Safely operates company-provided equipment and vehicles and follows all local laws, regulations, and ordinances
  • Submits receipts and expense records, per Pierson Wireless policy
  • Abides by all policies and procedures as identified in the Pierson Wireless handbook
  • Is cross-trained to lend support to other Pierson Wireless staff and departments
  • Performs other duties as required (i.e., cleaning, moving, fabrication, etc.)
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management

  • Directly supervises Market/Project Foremen, Field Technicians, and Contractor employees within the operations team
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws
  • Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

    • Planning, assigning, and directing work
    • Appraising team member performances
    • Communicating positive and growth feedback to team members

Position Requirements
Market Manager Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or 5-10 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Certificates, licenses, and registrations required:
    • Valid driver's license required
    • OSHA 30-hour certified
    • First Aid/CPR Certification
  • Certificates, licenses, and registrations preferred:
    • PMP Certified (Preferred)
  • Computer skills required:
    • Contract Management Systems
    • Google Suite, Microsoft Office Suite
    • Anritsu-specific equipment platforms
    • Walk-testing software
  • Other skills required:
    • Weekend and night work may be required to complete closeout packages and other job-related paperwork
    • 3 years of on-the-job training
    • Minimum 5 years of experience with RF in-building systems
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in a supervisory role
    • Market management capabilities
    • Established relationships with potential Customers in their market

    • Working knowledge of carrier networks: LTE, 5G, Private Networks, and C-band
    • Working knowledge or at least a basic understanding of network implementations and integrations, including deployment, access, core, and transport service networks
    • Working knowledge and capabilities using industry-required testing platforms, including cable sweeping, PIM testing, fiber testing, and spectrum analysis tools
    • Knowledge of a variety of DAS platforms, including JMA, Solid, Commscope ADRF, and Corning
