Job description

Bloomfield Public Schools is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Before/After School Specialist for the Extension Program.
Position Title: Before/After School Specialist
Reports to: Director of the Extension Program


 

Work Year: School Year (Potential for Year Round work)
Position Summary:

 
  • In this position, the applicant works closely with the Coordinator to implement activities and enrichment programs in an school environment.   This position would be working closely with students in grades PK-2. 
  • Work Day:  Part time morning and afterschool positions available, approximate hours (depending on school) are 7:00-9:00am and/or 2:30 5:30pm, or 3pm - 6pm Monday to Friday.
 

Education and/or Experience: 

 
  • A qualified applicant should possess a minimum of twelve credits in education or similar field.
  • Prior experience working with children is also required.
 


Effective Date:  2025/26 School Year
Compensation: $18 - $23 per hour (based upon experience)
