Under the supervision and guidance of a Project Controls Manager, the Project Controls Coordinator will be responsible for providing Project Controls guidance and support to the project.
What You'll Do Here:
Project Controls Systems & Tools
  • Support the implementation and day-to-day use of project controls systems, ensuring data is entered accurately and consistently
  • Assist the project team in using project controls tools for cost tracking, progress measurement, and reporting

Project Setup
  • Assist with project setup activities, including WBS structure, cost coding, and cost loading
  • Support alignment between the estimate, cost structure, and schedule to ensure a clean baseline

Scheduling Support
  • Work with the project team to provide accurate field updates for the schedule, including progress, quantities, and sequencing
  • Help ensure scope changes and current site conditions are reflected in the schedule

Progress & Cost Tracking
  • Track and enter project progress, quantities, labour hours, and costs in coordination with site teams
  • Help ensure labour, equipment, and materials are coded correctly to the appropriate cost accounts
  • Assist in preparing project reports, including progress, productivity, and cost performance updates
  • Support the team in identifying basic variances between planned and actual performance
  • Support in the development and updating of the cost forecast

Scope, Change & Claims Support
  • Assist in gathering and organizing supporting documentation for change notices and change requests
  • Help track and log potential and approved changes to ensure they are captured in project records

Risk & Reporting
  • Support updates to the project risk register by gathering inputs from the project team
  • Assist in compiling required weekly and monthly reports for internal and client use

Team & Collaboration
  • Work closely with Superintendents, Project Managers, and subcontractors to ensure accurate and timely information flow
  • Support coordination between the field and home office project controls team
  • Contribute to maintaining accurate and well-organized project records

What You Bring to the Team:
  • Diploma or degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 1-3 years of experience in construction, project coordination, or project controls
  • Post-secondary education in Engineering, Business, Construction Management, or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience
  • Familiarity with project schedules, cost tracking, and reporting is an asset
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced field environment and supporting site operations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with SAP, Primavera, or similar tools is an asset
  • Must be able to travel to projects
  • Must possess valid driver's license and have access to a vehicle
