We are seeking a Project Consultant with strong project management experience in the energy and utilities sector. This role oversees specific projects and tasks, ensuring they are executed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with project plans, regulatory standards, and organizational goals. The consultant will support technical and strategic initiatives including large load needs, grid-enhancing technologies, and pilot programs. The ideal candidate balances project leadership, technical exposure, and the ability to translate details into clear, big-picture insights for decision-makers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Oversight: Manage projects and tasks, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

  • Documentation & Coordination: Summarize meeting notes, track action items, and ensure follow-ups are completed.

  • Technical Evaluations: Coordinate technical reviews of emerging technologies (large load, research & development, new ventures).

  • Agreements & Partnerships: Support development of ESTATCOM Agreements, including component coordination, summary decks, and documentation.

  • Pilot Programs: Provide support for technology pilots—data gathering, technical coordination, and reporting.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, R&D staff, regulatory groups, and leadership, ensuring alignment and clear communication.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related discipline (required).

Experience

  • 6–10 years of experience managing projects in the energy, utilities, or grid modernization sector.

  • Exposure to large load integration, grid technologies, or transmission/distribution operations preferred.

Certifications

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong project management expertise (planning, scheduling, risk management, reporting).

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical detail into big-picture insights.

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

  • Familiarity with emerging technologies in the electric utility sector.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and project management tools.

  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently while engaging stakeholders effectively.
