POSITION SUMMARY

The customer project specialist is responsible for driving new customer implementations & existing customer projects through the sales cycle within agreed-upon timelines. Acting as the primary point of contact for assigned project opportunities, consisting of new customer implementations & existing customer projects. This role is responsible for ensuring seamless execution through all phases of the sales cycle, from project intake, pricing strategy, and pre/post-implementation support. This role ensures seamless coordination between internal departments and external customer stakeholders resulting in profitable sales growth.

Key responsibilities include:

β€’Utilizing analytical decision-making to establish appropriate pricing strategies.

β€’Collaborating with internal teams to evaluate customer requirements and identify suitable solutions.

β€’Providing consistent updates and feedback on project timelines/milestones both internally and externally.

β€’Facilitating clear and proactive communication regarding project opportunities and progress.

β€’Meets or exceeds execution KPI’s and adheres to all department processes

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Analysis & Proposal Development

β€’Analyze and intake customer product master-data to determine appropriate resource allocation and opportunity validity.

β€’Develop and complete project proposals, including price offers that align with customer needs and corporate profit objectives.

Pricing Strategy & Compliance

β€’ Assess proposed pricing levels and recommend adjustments to ensure compliance with corporate pricing

strategies and profitability goals.

Communication & Coordination

β€’ Serve as the customer’s central point of contact for project-related communications.

β€’ Drive consistent and transparent communication across internal departments and stakeholders to ensure

project alignment and timely execution.

Reporting & Feedback

β€’ Provide detailed feedback to stakeholders on project status, timelines, and key milestones.

β€’ Monitor project progress and proactively address potential delays or issues.

Quality & Sourcing Collaboration

β€’ Collaborate with internal partners to ascertain quality requirements and sourcing strategies that meet

customer expectations and operational capabilities while also meeting company profit goals.

Process Improvement

β€’ Identify opportunities to enhance productivity and efficiency across the operational organization.

β€’ Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to streamline project workflows.

General Duties

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & ABILITIES

β€’ A bachelor’s degree in related field

β€’ Minimum of 5-10 years of related experience or combination of education and experience.

β€’ SAP/P21 skills are advantageous

β€’ Must be able to read and analyze customer purchase orders, drawings and vendor-supplied reference

material

β€’ Able to read and interpret documents such as training instructions, shipping tickets, procedure manuals, etc.

β€’ Able to work with mathematical concepts such as graphs, statistics, percentages, and ratios.

β€’ Ability to establish credibility, respect and trust from staff and external business partners.

β€’ Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills. Working knowledge of other Microsoft Suite products.

β€’ Excellent problem-solving abilities; able to gather virtual, temporary teams to solve time-critical issues, with

positive outcomes for the customers as well as for the company.

β€’ Ability to lead, instruct and direct, both cross-functionally (peers in other departments) and within the

organization, across multiple geographies.
