Position Summary

The Project Coordinator I supports project managers with administrative and logistical tasks to help projects run smoothly and achieve their goals. This role organizes project details, tracks progress, and assists with presentations, budgets, and communications as needed.

Essential Functions

Project Planning & Execution
Assist with basic project planning and scheduling activities.
Support the development of initial project plans and schedules under supervision while building foundational project planning skills.
Contribute to defining project scope, timelines, and resource needs.
Participate in project meetings and provide routine progress updates.

Resource Management
Track resource availability and usage with guidance while developing skills to manage resources efficiently.

Documentation
Keep project records and logs accurate and up to date.

Risk & Issues Management
Recognize basic risks and issues and escalate them when needed.

Budget Tracking
Help monitor project expenses.

Quality Assurance
Assist with quality checks and follow established guidelines.

Scrums
Attend scrums for assigned projects.

Learning & Development
Participate in training and apply new knowledge to improve job performance.
Use new tools and technologies to work more efficiently.

Compliance & Security
Maintain the confidentiality of federal, state, and organizational records while following applicable laws and regulations.
Follow security policies and comply with state and federal requirements when handling data and documents.
Follow all client and TCC security and access protocols.
Report discrepancies or security concerns immediately.

Support & Coordination
Support administrative tasks and coordinate basic logistics.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
Environment: Hybrid work environment (office and remote). Some travel may be required depending on TCC or client needs.
Mobility: Must be able to sit or stand for prolonged periods.
Vision: Must be able to read from a computer or mobile screen.
Communication: Must be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Travel: Occasional travel may be required depending on client needs.
Hours: TCC Headquarters is based in EST, so standard business hours are typically 8:30 AM EST to 5:00 PM EST. Standard business hours may vary depending on client needs. The hours will be based on the schedule of the different Regional offices, with the possibility for extended hours during project deadlines or critical phases.

Education
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Associate degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Auditing, Computer Science, or a related field preferred; Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.
Equivalent practical business experience and/or certifications in accounting, business administration, finance, operations, management, or technology may be considered in place of a degree.

Experience
2 or more years of experience in administrative support, operations, project coordination or similar, with a proven track record of succeeding in a fast paced production environment.
Additionally, the ideal candidate will have knowledge of and experience with ECEC (Early Childhood Education and Care) programs at the state level.

Certifications
Certification in project management beneficial. Preferred certifications include Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar.
