Job description

CDR ProSource is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Coordinator for one of our clients in Elkhart, IN. This role is critical to the success of operations and is responsible for managing the flow of active projects from award through completion. The ideal candidate will ensure communication remains clear, timelines stay on track, and all departments remain aligned throughout the entire project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and monitor active projects from award through completion.
  • Track project progress and ensure all phases remain on schedule.
  • Serve as the primary communication link between leadership, shop personnel, estimators, purchasing, and office teams.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication across all departments.
  • Identify potential delays, missing information, or scope changes and escalate concerns as needed.
  • Act as a point of contact for customers, contractors, and external partners regarding project updates and coordination.
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, and transmittals using EPM and Tekla software.
  • Ensure all project documentation is accurately submitted, tracked, and maintained.
  • Maintain organized and accurate file systems across internal servers and Google Drive.
  • Collaborate closely with the Shop Supervisor to coordinate production schedules, drawing approvals, and workload planning.
  • Follow up on open RFIs, pending approvals, and outstanding action items to prevent project delays.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts and contribute to overall project success.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in Project Coordination or Project Management.
  • Experience within construction, fabrication, manufacturing, or related industries preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Experience working in steel, structural steel, metals, fabrication, or shop environments strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with Tekla, EPM, or similar document control and project management systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple active projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
