Comlux America is a world-class VIP aircraft completion and refurbishment center located in Indianapolis, Indiana. The company designs, engineers, and installs custom luxury interiors and advanced aircraft systems for airliner-derivative business jets. Comlux also offers scheduled and unscheduled maintenance services.  Specializing in highly customized aircraft, Comlux transforms aircraft into personalized flying environments that reflect exceptional craftsmanship, precision engineering, and uncompromising safety.

Role Description
The Completion Interiors Trainee is an entry-level role responsible for learning and supporting the installation of VIP aircraft interior components. Working under close supervision, this position assists in installing cabinetry, monuments, sidewalls, and other interior components required to complete high-end luxury aircraft. This role provides hands-on experience in aircraft completions while developing the technical skills necessary to perform work in accordance with company procedures and aviation regulatory standards.
 
Essential Job Functions
Learn and assist with the proper installation of fabricated aircraft interiors in accordance with engineering specifications and company standards.
Learn to identify and request required materials in a timely manner to ensure continuous workflow and minimize project delays.
Within 90 days, demonstrate the ability to interpret material specifications and engineering drawings to ensure installed interiors meet design specifications, quality standards, and customer expectations.
Within 90 days, demonstrate the ability to adhere to all regulatory documentation. requirements, including proper signoffs, component installation documentation, and ensuring all paperwork is completed accurately and in accordance with the Comlux RSQM and other applicable quality standards.
Follow all departmental safety guidelines and ensure the proper use and care of tools, equipment, and materials.
Develop a basic working knowledge of company installation procedures, process specifications, IOPs, and related documentation.
Perform other duties as assigned that support departmental and operational objective.

Minimum Qualifications, Education and Experience
High School Diploma or GED required; technical or trade school training preferred
Minimum one (1) year of aircraft interior installation experience preferred
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical documentation 

Required Skills and Abilities
Willingness to learn aviation regulatory requirements, including FAA documentation and compliance procedures
Basic understanding of aircraft interior installation processes
Familiarity with computers and software used for production documentation
Interest in learning Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement practices
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship
Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with team members and supervisors

Work Environment
This position is based in an aircraft hangar environment and may involve:
Exposure to varying temperatures and weather conditions
Loud noise levels
Use of heavy machinery and specialized tools
Potential contact with chemicals or hazardous materials
Working in confined aircraft interior spaces
