Sterling Engineering is hiring Robot Programmers for a highly visible automation project. This is an opportunity to work with advanced robotic routing systems, large-scale automation equipment, and cutting-edge manufacturing technology. You'll have direct ownership over developing and optimizing robotic programs used in production, with the ability to make an immediate impact on a major manufacturing initiative. Key Responsibilities:
- Load offline robot programs into production robot controllers
- Modify, test, validate, and optimize robotic programs for manufacturing applications
- Program and troubleshoot Motoman (Yaskawa) robotic systems utilizing YRC1000 controllers
- Develop and refine routing programs for panel production
- Perform robotic programming primarily through teach pendant operations
- Configure and optimize coordinated motion between multiple robots and external rail axes
- Collect, manipulate, and utilize positional data through global position variables
- Support frame shifting, routing operations, and automated cutting processes
- Troubleshoot robotic motion, programming logic, and automation system performance issues
Qualifications:
- Proven experience programming industrial robots in a manufacturing environment
