Job description

Job Title: Robotic Welder

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Robotic Welder to join our welding department responsible for welding seat frames and steel harnesses for various vehicles. This role requires proficiency in Mig and Robotic welding, with an ability to read blueprints. Candidates will be tasked with welding between 80 to 200 parts daily, using mild grade steel exclusively.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Mig and Robotic welding of seat frames and steel harnesses.
  • Read and interpret blueprints accurately.
  • Weld between 80 to 200 parts per day depending on assigned area.
  • Ensure quality control through weld inspection.

Essential Skills

  • 6 months to 1 year experience in Mig welding and Robotic welding.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Experience with mild steel welding.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • AWS training certification.
  • Experience in weld inspection.
  • Knowledge of spot welding and soldering.

Work Environment

Work in a large manufacturing facility focused on bus seats and safety harnesses. Team sizes vary from 50 to 150 depending on the shift. The work schedule comprises four 10-hour days, with optional work on Fridays. Shift openings include: 1st shift from 6:30am to 5pm, Monday to Thursday; 2nd shift from 5pm to 3:30am, Monday to Thursday, with a $0.40 shift premium; and weekend shifts on Friday and Saturday with a bonus for perfect attendance.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Westfield, IN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.40/hr.
