Position Description and Purpose:

Roskam Foods produces and packages food products with the goal of consistently meeting and exceeding customer expectations for quality, safety, and wholesomeness.

Key Essential Functions/Duties:

  • Develop and maintain material planning schedules based on production forecasts, customer orders, and inventory targets.
  • Monitor inventory levels and planned usage then initiate purchase orders to replenish stock as needed.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and resolve any supply issues.
  • Coordinate with schedulers, production, procurement, and logistics teams to align material availability with manufacturing schedules.
  • Communicate and escalate material shortages to relevant stakeholders.
  • Analyze usage trends and work with the cross functional team to adjust planning parameters to optimize inventory turnover and reduce excess stock.
  • Maintain accurate records of material transactions and planning activities in ERP systems.
  • Identify process improvements to enhance planning efficiency and accuracy.
  • Support new product introductions by coordinating material requirements and timelines.
  • Maintain metrics and KPIs for materials management, utilizing BI or ERP tools

Education/Experience/Skills/Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
2+ years of experience in materials planning, inventory management, or supply chain operations.
Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing and just-in-time (JIT) principles is a plus.

Preferred Skills
APICS certification (CPIM or CSCP) is highly desirable.
Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments.
Familiarity with demand planning and forecasting tools.
