US Farathane is looking to hire a Manufacturing Planning Engineer, this role will support our Corporate Tech Center in Auburn Hills, Michigan
Summary:
The Manufacturing Planning Engineer reports directly to the Corporate Manufacturing Planning Manager. The individual would be an understudy to the Corporate Manufacturing Planning Manager. Given the uniqueness of the role there would be extensive training and development specific to the company’s needs and requirements which would equip the candidate to be successful in this role going forward.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Ideally this individual would have an industrial and or manufacturing engineering background and will have some experience in a plastics manufacturing environment with specific experience on the following:
- Industrial power distribution systems.
- Tower and Chiller water cooling systems.
- Compressed air systems.
- Material handling systems – storage, drying, vacuum transport.
- Injection molding equipment.
Key Functions:
- Providing support to all USF manufacturing facilities with regards to project related issues as well as problem solving equipment and facility issues.
- Understanding and use of computer drafting software, Architectural design.
- Facility development engineering.
- Project management.
- Assisting with training USF staff on equipment operating and maintenance procedures.
- Assisting Corporate Manufacturing Planning Manager with driving equipment standardization.
Qualifications:
- Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering degree / diploma and or appropriate combination of study and practical experience.
