Job description

FUNCTION: The function of the Program Advisor is to provide academic advising, registration assistance, and assistance in accessing, and navigating institutional requirements.  

   
Essential Job Functions:                                       
  • Provide advising, registration assistance, and assistance in accessing and navigating institutional requirements to current students.
  • Provides career advising to assist students in choosing a career pathway.
  • Plan and implement retention and completion activities.
  • Update transfer plans for transfer universities.
  • Work with the Program Advisor Coordinator to plan, implement and evaluate the programs and services provided by Advising, Career & Transfer department.

Additional Job Functions:              
  • Assist with graduation application process and commencement activities.
  • Serve as a liaison and foster intentional relationships with other advisors, offices, and departments.
