Job Description:

L3Harris Mission Critical Communications (MCC) is seeking an experienced Program Manager to oversee the key metrics (Inventory, Revenue, Orders, etc.) and performance of our Tactical SATCOM (Satellite Communications) Business Unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting cross-functional teams, program schedules, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality products and services to our customers aligned to the SATCOM business unit. The Program Manager will also be instrumental in driving continuous improvement initiatives of substantial importance to the organization and achieving business unit goals while working with minimal oversight or direction.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Program Management:
    • Support the International and DoD program management teams in the planning, execution, and delivery of programs for the Tactical SATCOM Business Unit.
    • Develop and manage program and business schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
    • Ensure programs are supported for on time delivery, within scope, and budget.
    • Track and report on business unit and program performance using key metrics and KPIs.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, vendors, and senior management.
    • Facilitate regular business unit and program reviews, and status meetings.
    • Provide business unit and program updates and reports to executive leadership.
  • Risk Management:
    • Identify, assess, and mitigate business unit and program risks.
    • Develop and implement risk management plans to minimize impact on program and project objectives.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Drive process improvements and operational efficiencies within the business unit.
    • Implement best practices and lessons learned from previous programs, pursuits, and experiences.
  • Compliance and Quality Assurance:
    • Ensure all programs and projects adhere to company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
    • Oversee quality assurance processes to deliver high-quality products and services.

Travel may be required up to 20% of the time.

Essential Functions:

  • Experience with or knowledge of SATCOM technologies, applications, and industry.
  • Experience managing development projects

  • Experience using Microsoft Project
  • Ability to obtain a US Security clearance

Qualifications:

  • BS/BA required or equivalent military experience and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience or Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum 13 years of prior related experience.
  • 7 years direct business unit and/or program management related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software.
  • Ability to analyze data and key metrics to inform decision-making.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • Master's degree, MBA preferred

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in New York state is $110,500 - $205,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
