Job Title: Program Manager
Job Description
The Program Manager oversees the planning, coordination, and execution of assigned programs from initial scope definition through manufacturing and delivery. This role collaborates closely with Engineering, Sales, Vendors, and Customers to ensure accurate cost estimates, robust schedules, and well-defined bills of materials. The Program Manager monitors program performance, prepares and delivers customer presentations, and ensures that all program milestones are met on time and within scope in a dynamic aerospace and defense manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
  • Assist in the development and review of Statements of Work (SOW) for potential programs to ensure clarity of scope, deliverables, and requirements.
  • Support Engineering and Sales teams in estimating costs and determining resource requirements for potential programs.
  • Confirm and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) and program schedules for assigned programs.
  • Monitor vendor activity and performance to ensure timely delivery of materials and services in support of assigned programs.
  • Act as a liaison with Engineering to ensure accurate BOMs, resource planning, and technical alignment for assigned programs.
  • Monitor, track, and enforce program schedules to ensure milestones and deadlines are consistently met.
  • Prepare and deliver professional presentations for customer meetings related to assigned programs.
  • Work closely with customers to understand requirements, provide updates, and address program-related questions or concerns.
  • Attend internal and external meetings to coordinate program activities and ensure alignment across departments.
  • Follow and support manufacturing processes to see products through production, ensuring programs transition smoothly from planning to manufacturing.
  • Adapt to changing priorities and wear multiple hats as needed to support successful program delivery.
Essential Skills
  • Program management experience with responsibility for planning, coordinating, and executing programs.
  • Project management skills, including schedule development, tracking, and enforcement.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project for creating and managing project schedules.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, for reporting, analysis, and documentation.
  • Ability to prepare and deliver clear, professional presentations for internal and customer meetings.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferably with exposure to aerospace and defense programs.
  • Strong coordination and communication skills to work effectively with Engineering, Sales, Vendors, and Customers.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and programs simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities.

Work Environment
This role is based in a manufacturing setting within a small to mid-size aerospace and defense company. The Program Manager works closely with an Engineering team of approximately eight employees and collaborates frequently with Sales, Vendors, and Customers. The standard work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The dress code is business casual. The environment offers the opportunity to see programs move from initial planning through manufacturing, to work in a culture with very low attrition, and to contribute in a setting where employees can wear many hats and support a growing, forward-looking organization. The company offers paid holidays and one week of paid time off.

The pay range for this position is $38.46 - $62.50/hr.
