Mission Statement

The mission of Mental Health and Recovery Counseling Education and Training (MHRCET) is to empower underserved youth by providing supportive services, fostering community engagement, and creating equitable opportunities. We aim to break down systemic barriers that limit access to education, mental health resources, and pathways to success, ensuring every young person has the tools, support, and opportunities needed to reach their full potential.

About Us

We are not just service providers but partners in healing, growth, and transformation. We envision a future where every young person is seen, supported, and equipped to overcome challenges and drive meaningful change while growing into leaders who make a lasting impact in their communities and beyond.

About the Role

We are currently seeking a Program Assistant to support the coordination and delivery of our programs and services. Are you someone who enjoys helping programs run smoothly, staying organized, and supporting meaningful work behind the scenes? As a remote nonprofit, we rely on dedicated volunteers who want to contribute to positive outcomes for our community by supporting day‑to‑day program operations.

What You’ll Do

  • Support program coordination, scheduling, and logistics
  • Assist with tracking participation, data entry, and basic reporting
  • Help prepare materials, resources, and communications for programs
  • Support staff and volunteers with program‑related tasks and follow‑ups
  • Participate in team meetings and help ensure programs stay on track
  • Collaborate with others to ensure services are delivered effectively and on time

What We’re Looking For

  • Organizational and time‑management skills
  • Comfortable working independently and following through on tasks
  • Clear communication skills and attention to detail
  • Reliable, adaptable, and supportive of a community‑focused mission
  • Previous program or administrative experience is helpful but not required

Why Volunteer With Us?

  • 100% remote (volunteer from anywhere)
  • Flexible schedule
  • Build real‑world experience in program support and coordination
  • Support meaningful work that uplifts our community

What You’ll Gain in This Role

  • Hands‑on experience supporting nonprofit programs and operations
  • Professional experience working with a mission‑driven organization
  • Skill development in organization, communication, and teamwork
  • Collaboration with a passionate, purpose‑driven team
