As an After School Program Manager with Kamaʻāina Kids, you'll lead a team that creates a safe, engaging, and welcoming environment where children can learn, explore, build friendships, and have fun. You'll coach staff, partner with families and schools, and oversee a program that makes a lasting impact on Hawaiʻi's keiki.

Part-Time |Oahu, Windward
$22–$26/hour + Benefits for Part-Time Employees

Take ownership of your own school site while mentoring a team of educators who help children thrive every afternoon. Your leadership will shape the experience for both your staff and the families you serve.

• Monday–Friday afternoons

• Typical shifts from 1:30 PM–5:30 PM

• Wednesday shifts begin around 12:30 PM for early-release schools

• No evenings

• No weekends

• No holiday shifts

This role is perfect for educators, coaches, youth leaders, recreation professionals, retirees, or anyone looking for meaningful leadership in a flexible part-time schedule.

You'll:

• Oversee the daily operations of an after-school program serving school-age children.

• Coach, mentor, and support Group Leaders and Aides.

• Create a positive, inclusive environment where every child feels safe, valued, and engaged.

• Plan enriching activities including games, STEM projects, arts and crafts, homework support, outdoor recreation, and team-building activities.

• Build strong relationships with families, school administrators, and community partners.

• Manage attendance, staffing, scheduling, communication, and day-to-day program operations.

• Foster a positive team culture while ensuring every child has an exceptional after-school experience.

We're looking for leaders who are passionate about developing both children and teams.

Successful candidates often come from backgrounds in:

• Parks & Recreation

If you've supervised staff, managed programs, or led groups of children, we'd love to hear from you.

• At least 18 years old

• High school diploma or GED

• Experience leading or supervising groups of children

• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

• A positive attitude and dependable work ethic

• Availability every Monday–Friday afternoon
